Being with a person on their journey through their life is always an honour and a great privilege. No matter how lengthy or brief that period is I treat that time with respect. This is simply because that is how I believe that people should be treated.
I asked myself, “How is my working life experience going to help my clients?” I realised that these are the things I can do with you and for you. I will listen to what you have to say (the good, the bad and the difficult), not judge you, provide support, work with you to assist you to define your expectations about the type of help you want, plan some goals together and keep reviewing how you are doing.
Professional development is fundamental to being able to give you the type of experience and service that you need and expect. I have current registration with the Australian Counselling Association as well as Counsellors Victoria. My qualifications include a Graduate Diploma of Counselling specialising in Loss and Grief, Certificate in Educational Psychology (Graduate level), Bachelor of Behavioural Science and a Bachelor of Nursing.
